As an experienced, accredited coach; Dawn has developed coaching skills in a wide range of contexts within schools. This has included coaching with teachers, TA’s, leaders; developing peer coaching across school groups. All of Dawn’s interventions demonstrate her passion for, and focus on, moving teaching and learning forwards both individually and within teams; a highly effective strategy to drive the ownership of whole school development.
As lead coach at Ravenscote, Dawn has also developed strategies for coaching with children and parents. She has led the school to achieve Gold Coachmark Status. ( http://coachmark.org.uk/a-leap-forward-for-ravenscote-school/ )
Though her work, Dawn has consistently shown that the quality of teaching and learning within a school is accelerated when coaching models are in use throughout the staff team and with children.
“Being coached has given me the opportunity to reflect on my practice, consider areas for development and be challenged to further my performance.”
