Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs)
SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have at least two years experience in a particular field or expertise.
The Alliance has currently identified and trained almost 20 SLEs to a competent level to support training needs within the Alliance. The CTSA will also provide ongoing training.
The SLEs within CTSA are available to provide School to School support in areas such as:-
- Introduction of the National Curriculum for 2014
- Early Years
- Core and Foundation subjects
- Secondary English
- ITT/NQT
- Special Needs
Local Leaders of Education (LLEs)
The Alliance has received funding for the identification and training of LLEs. These will be Heads of “good” schools (and it is anticipated Deputy Heads in “outstanding” schools) who will be deployed to deliver support to schools across the Alliance at a more “strategic” level.
National Leaders of Education (NLEs)
An NLE is an outstanding serving headteacher with at least 3 years of headship experience who is also accountable for 1 or more schools that meet the national support school criteria.
The Alliance has provided NLE support to a number of schools both within and outside the CTSA in a variety of strategic areas such as: –
- analysis of RoL,
- audit provisions,
- analysis of SEF,
- academy conversion
In all cases detailed verbal feedback and subsequent written report is provided to the respective school’s Governing Body to assist in the implementation of the agreed action points.
We are currently in the process of building our directory of NLE, SLE and LLE experts available to support you
