A Teaching School Alliance is a group of schools and other partners that commit to working collaboratively, supported by one or more teaching schools (NCTL 2013). The Catholic Teaching Schools Alliance (CTSA) is a group of schools and other partners, both Catholic and non-Catholic, supported by the leadership of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School (Teaching School).
We work with the Primary Catholic Partnership, based in Southampton, and many Schools within the alliance to offer the highest quality bespoke teacher training programme in a number of locations.
The CTSA stretches from Oxfordshire in the north to the Channel Islands in the south. We are represented by Primary, Secondary, Independent and Specialist schools. Our Strategic Partners help with certain aspects of delivery.
THE PRIMARY CATHOLIC PARTNERSHIP
We work with the Primary Catholic Partnership who ensures our Teacher Training is of the highest possible standards. The PCP accredits our training programme and carries out Quality Assurance of the training we deliver to our students.
We cover all aspects of teacher training and career development, from Initial Teacher Training (ITT) candidates in school to professional and career development training.
As a trainee teacher you will have the opportunity to work and train in one of over 20 host schools you will also be supported by our local training hubs.
